Pay It Forward
Ticket Bank
A community fund for free tickets.
The Ticket Bank is a communal fund that anyone can put money into. The money does one thing: it pays for free tickets at the door. When someone shows up to a BYP show and can't afford entry — a teenager, a family, someone having a rough month — our staff opens the Ticket Bank and lets them in.
This isn't a general donation. It's a single-purpose fund you can watch grow, and know exactly where every dollar goes. Every contribution is earmarked for one thing: opening the door for someone who couldn't otherwise get through it.
The pay-it-forward logic is simple. Maybe BYP kept tickets cheap enough that you could afford to go. Maybe someone covered you once. Now, when you put money in the Ticket Bank, you make it possible for someone else.
How It Works
- —
Anyone can contribute
Online (when the link is live), in person at any BYP show — cash or card at the door. No amount is too small. Or too large.
- —
The balance grows in public
This page shows the current balance so the community can watch the fund build. When a major gift comes in, you'll see it here.
- —
BYP opens the door
At every show, our door staff can draw down the Ticket Bank for anyone who needs it. No application, no questions — just a conversation at the door.
Part of Something Bigger
Ticket Bank is one specific way to give. BYP also accepts general donations that support our broader mission — artist pay, production, and community programming. General donations go through Network for Good via our fiscal sponsor, Creative Visions. Both funds matter. Both move the mission forward.
